Is the military?????

A good choice for me. I want to go to serve my country I watch the news and see all of this going on and i want to help out! Anyways, Is it hard to get in the military i mean are they strict on who they take. I will be 20 year old im May and i want to go in as infantry, or Cav Scout. I am also a sophmore in college just wanted to get your opinion on if you think its a good choice! Thanks for the advice/info
