Whats wrong with me? is it just a minor cold or more?

okay, lately ive been really sick, nothing serious just a minor cold, i think, but ive been extremely congested and ive been coughing alot, when i wake up my back hurts, my whole body aches and my throat seems swollen bc its a little hard to swallow sometimes, today it was 76 degrees, i wore a thermal, i was very cold all day, like shivering, ive slept all day and nothing has changed , right now im soooo hot, i cant even sleep because im so hot, ive been coughing so much my left side area hurts when i cough now,im so congested its even kind of hard to breathe, i been taking alka seltzer plus nitetime, and tylenol daytime. nothing has worked and i mite go to the er tonite if my breathing doesnt get better.
